Since the day I tried Starbuck’s Green Tea Frappuccino I became entirely devoted to matcha green tea, now is the number one item from my pantry and I already used it in my Strawberry Shortcake, I mean matcha green tea has a pure, detoxing and tasty flavor, and it’s really good for you too, full of antioxidants and it totally boosts your metabolisms so now imagine combining this virtuoso green tea with lemons… yup, you guessed it right! BOOM! A mega infusion full of amazing benefits for the body and perfect to refresh ourselves with the invading heat waves that Summer has brought!
Matcha green tea is rich in caffeine so it’s a great substitute for coffee which I love because I usually drink two huge cups of coffee a day, sometimes more… hence this Matcha Green Tea Lemonade is awesome hot or cold even for caffeine lovers like me!
This Matcha Green Tea Lemonade is really simple and easy to do, but you can add a few ingredients you think will fit, like mint or blossom water, you can go nuts with it. If you haven’t tried matcha green tea I suggest you buy a small amount of it for is not a flavor for everybody BUT never compromise quality with this thing so go for a good quality matcha green tea or leave, ok not but you got the idea, right?
Matcha Green Tea Lemonade
- To make this Matcha Green Tea Lemonade start by squeezing a lot of lemon until you have 1 cup of lemon juice, add the juice to a jug. Then add the lemon syrup, or if you’re in a hurry you can add sugar, stevia or the sweetener of your preference.
- Then add water and the Matcha green tea, I added 1 tablespoon but if you prefer strong flavors you can add 2 tablespoons for your sake! ;-) Stir until well combined.
- Lastly add some slices of lemon and serve in chilled glasses with a lot of ice in them!
- Enjoy! n_n
